Dorothy Waugh and Garth Stewart to join the DPC team in September 2025

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce two key appointments to its staff. Dorothy Waugh will take on the role of Head of Workforce Development, while Garth Stewart joins as Head of Good Practice, each bringing a wealth of expertise to these roles.
iPRES 2025 Ad Hoc Submissions Now Open

The iPRES 2025 Programme Committee is pleased to announce that the Call for the iPRES 2025 Ad Hoc Programme is now open.
Lightning talks, digital preservation games, Birds of a Feather (BoF) discussion sessions – once again iPRES offers exciting submission categories beyond the traditional paper, panel, poster, workshop, and tutorial submissions. They offer a flexible and informal way to share your ideas, projects, and insights with the iPRES community without the need to submit a full paper.

Call for Applicants: DPC Grant for iPRES 2025 in Wellington

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is pleased to offer a limited number of Career Development Fund grants to support DPC Members attending the hybrid iPRES 2025 Conference, 3 to 7 November, at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), Aotearoa (New Zealand).
This Career Development Fund grant will cover 100% of conference registration fees and provide a contribution towards travel and accommodation if attending in person. Grant applications are welcomed from DPC Members until 07:00 UTC | 19:00 NZST on 1 July 2025, and more details are provided below.

These additions complement the existing translations in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, and Turkish, expanding the model's accessibility to preservation practitioners worldwide.
