The DPC is pleased to announce the imminent release of a new source of grant funding for digital preservation projects.

The DPC Research and Development (R&D) Fund will soon open to proposals for small practical research and development projects that will credibly support DPC’s membership towards greater maturity in digital preservation.

The R&D Fund is an allocation from the DPC Supporter Fund, which is part of the larger DPC Supporter Program. 2025-2026 will mark the first year in which DPC is able to release grant funds to its Full Members through the R&D Fund.

Project proposals to the R&D Fund must be initiated and led by a DPC Full Member in good standing.

Further information on the R&D Fund’s principles, eligibility, application process and provisional timeframe will be published on this webpage shortly.
