More Life After Ten: From Principles to Practice. Developing a digital preservation policy for research data.
In many research contexts, research data is kept for a minimum retention period of around ten years. Following the first There is Life After Ten event earlier this year, LCRDM, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the Digital Preservation Coalition are bringing together a small group of colleagues for a practical follow-up workshop on World Digital Preservation Day 2026.
The day will focus on developing a digital preservation policy and considering what is needed to make that policy work within an organization. With a maximum of 30 participants, the workshop taking place in The Hague, The Netherlands, will combine discussion, collaboration and practical sessions on building support for a policy or putting it into practice through workflows and processes.
