The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome Library Services at Queen’s University Belfast as its newest Associate member this month.
Founded in Belfast in 1845, the Library aims to ensure long-term access to digital content through the development of a strategy to support the acquisition, management, preservation and provision of access to born-digital and digitised content. With responsibility for the institutional repository as well as Special Collections and Archives, the Library has plans to implement both a Library Services specific Digital Preservation Policy, as well as a university-wide Digital Preservation Policy and long-term data management plan.

DPC Rapid Assessment Model: Turkish translation now available!

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to share a Turkish translation of its Rapid Assessment Model (RAM), with thanks to Dr. Özhan Sağlik at Bursa Uludağ University in Turkey and Nathalie Defne Gier and Mustafa Ergül at Koç University in Turkey who generously donated their time to make the resource accessible.
Now available as a PDF download in Turkish, the second edition of the DPC RAM is a digital preservation maturity modelling tool that has been designed to enable rapid benchmarking of an organization’s digital preservation capability.
