Born digital archive cataloguing and description: DPC publishes new Technology Watch Guidance Note on Access to Digital Collections

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has released a Member preview of the next in its series of Technology Watch Guidance Notes entitled Born digital archive cataloguing and description, by Jenny Bunn, today.
Born digital archive cataloguing and description seeks to provide guidance to support organisations and individuals in making sense of the technological developments relating to the presentation and accessibility of their collection information.
National Film & Sound Archive joins the Digital Preservation Coalition

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) as the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.
Established in 1984, the NFSA is Australia’s living archive with a mission to collect, preserve and share Australia’s audiovisual heritage. As custodians of over 3.3 million items, of which approximately half are digital, digital preservation is a core element of the organization’s mission to preserve and share its collection.
