The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is inviting nominations from its Full Members for two forthcoming vacancies on the DPC's Executive Board. The vacancies arise as part of planned leadership transitions, including the appointment of a new Chair and Vice-Chair.

The Board is seeking nominations from individuals who would like to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of the DPC, with nominations closing on 7 September 2026. The DPC Executive Board provides oversight of the Coalition's activities, finances, and long-term strategy, helping to ensure that our community continues to deliver impact for members worldwide.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who:

  • Have experience of strategic leadership and governance;

  • Share the DPC's commitment to digital preservation;

  • Can contribute expertise, insight and advocacy on behalf of the community;

  • Are willing to play an active role in supporting the future development of the Coalition.

Appointment to the Executive Board also makes individuals eligible for consideration as Chair or Vice-Chair, and expressions of interest in either role are invited as part of the nomination process. Applications will be assessed by a nominations sub-committee drawn from within the current Board.

Further information, including role descriptions and nomination details, are available upon request.

Please submit your nominations, including expressions of interest for the role of Chair or Vice-Chair as appropriate, to william.kilbride@dpconline.org by 7 September 2026.

A set of FAQs about the positions are provided on the DPC website; and if you would like an informal conversation about the role before applying, please contact Jane Winters via jane.winters@sas.ac.uk.

We look forward to hearing from members interested in helping shape the next chapter of the DPC.
