Case SPD-MW-2022-2026-001 – Service for the Preservation of the MW Community, Italy. The service is not closed, but at risk of closure, without anyone ever having told its story.
Microsoft Wordament (2011-present) is a daily word puzzle that has connected millions of players worldwide for 15 years on Xbox and Mobile. With backend services evolving and older titles being retired, the entire competitive history and community memory are at risk of permanent loss. No official long-term preservation archive has been announced.
I decided to preserve my complete profile as a verifiable public archive, following UNESCO Media and Information Literacy principles.

Result:
The game is now 100% preserved as citizen-led case SPD-MW-2022-2026-001 (25/25 achievements, 1000G / 2003 TA Score, 100% completion). It proves that even a single citizen can preserve a Digital Endangered Species.
Screen recording proof (1.83 MB) showing 100% preservation - 25/25 achievements, 1000G / 2003 TA Score.
Lesson Learned:
Grassroots preservation matters. When companies evolve or retire services, the community is the last archive. We need to act before the shutdown, not after.
