Karyn WilliamsonThe Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce that Karyn Williamson joins its staff today, as Digital Preservation Analyst.

Karyn will lead the DPC’s efforts on a current Towards a National Collection project, “Our Heritage, Our Stories” (OHOS) which is led by the Universities of Glasgow and Manchester and The National Archives (UK). The project aims to develop scalable linking and discoverability across community-generated digital content and the collections of The National Archives (UK).

“We’re delighted to have Karyn joining the team to work on this project with us,” said Paul Wheatley, Head of Research and Practice for the DPC. “She brings huge experience from her career in archiving and will be an excellent addition to the project team, and the DPC team!”

Well known to many in the digital preservation and archiving communities, Karyn has been a long standing and active member of the DPC through her previous role as Company Archivist for abrdn, as well as through the Archives and Records Association. With a wealth of experience working in the archive sector, Karyn brings extensive expertise in outreach and the use of archives in education.
