Dr Conor McGarrigle, Dr Caroline O'Sullivan and Lindsey Dowling are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and contribute to projects that advance digital preservation and access for cultural institutions and the wider cultural sector. The role will play a central part in developing digitisation infrastructure at TU Dublin, enabling the sustainable preservation, access, and reuse of cultural assets. The position also includes preparatory work for peripatetic digitisation services, including the design of a mobile digitisation offering to support community archives such as Shamrock Rovers in the Community and the Live Music Research initiatives. This work will involve planning, equipment specification, and service design, with the aim of enabling scalable, inclusive digitisation efforts.

The researcher will be based in person in the School of Media, TU Dublin and work closely with cultural partners, with the possibility of placement at the National Library of Ireland, to ensure that services are aligned with real-world needs. Due to the time bound nature of the funding all applicants must have already graduated with a PhD at the time of application.
