An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UEA Library as an Open Research Officer in the Open Research team. We seek a motivated and knowledgeable individual to contribute to the transformation of open research practices at a leading UK university, helping to accelerate open research practices, embed an open research culture and enhance the transparency, reproducibility and visibility of UEA’s research. You will inform policies and manage processes related to open research, including open access publication and research data management, ensuring that UEA’s research activities and outputs are as open as possible and that funder, REF and institutional requirements are fully met.
You will work closely with a wide range of colleagues across the division and university and also represent the university in important external networks, such as the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) and the prestigious Research Libraries UK (RLUK) network.
You will have Open Research expertise including OA publishing, research data, funder/REF policies and Read & Publish deals, as well as strong communication, training and influencing skills. Your work will encompass the Current Research Information System (CRIS) and institutional repository, so some experience with those systems would be an advantage.
This full-time post is available from 12 January 2026 on an indefinite basis.
