The organizers of the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) have opened registration for the IDCC26 Workshops, taking place Monday 16 February in Zagreb. These in-person sessions offer a rich programme designed to help participants strengthen their skills in data curation, research data management, and related practices.
The 20th edition of the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC26) organised by the Digital Curation Centre is taking place in Zagreb, Croatia between 16-18 February 2026.
Running from 09:00 to 16:00 CET on 16 February, this year’s workshops bring together leading experts from across the data community to share practical methods, emerging frameworks, and hands-on approaches that support effective and sustainable data stewardship.
Workshops:
- Workshop 1: Linking it all together: DMPs, SKGs, and FAIR Assessment with OSTrails Interoperability Frameworks - Engage with the OSTrails project, hosted by OSTrails
- Workshop 2: TrusStructuring and understanding the activities, functions, and processes of repositories and archives - hosted by EOSC EDEN and FIDELIS.
- Workshop 3: Resilient by Design: Exploring Paths to Sustainable Infrastructures - Contribute to sustainability dialogues, hosted by Base4NFDI.
- Workshop 4: Key role of vertical interoperability in times of austerity: Linking DMPonline RSpace, and repositories to enable FAIR data workflows - Explore vertical interoperability, hosted by DMPonline and RSpace.
- Workshop 5: Curating data and models to facilitate greater re-use within a research environment using DAFNI - Utilise the DAFNI platform for data and model curation, hosted by DAFNI - STFC and UKRI
- Workshop 6: Be ASSURED! Doing safe research with unsafe data - Learn about safeguarding data with the ASSURED project hosted by ASSURED
- Workshop 7: Evolving data management plans (DMPs): Smart, active, integrated, useful - Update and adapt DMPs for enhanced utility, hosted by PSDI
- Workshop 8: Data Speaks, Policy Listens: Communication Skills for Change - Develop skills to bridge science and policy, hosted by Marko Košiček and Petra Buljević Zdjelarević
