This is the final week for early bird registration rates for iPRES 2025 in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand, and online, 3-7 November 2025! Early bird registration ends 1 September 2025, end of day, anywhere on earth. If you haven't already registered, make sure to do so this week to take advantage of the early bird discount rate.

Why attend iPRES 2025?

  • journey to a unique part of the world and experience an iPRES like no other -- OR iPRES Early Bird Rates

  • experience the conference from the comfort of your own home, in your own time zone, as a virtual participant!

  • encounter groundbreaking research and innovative projects in digital preservation,

  • share practical experiences and best practices,

  • discuss emerging trends and challenges,

  • collaborate on future directions and solutions and,

  • connect with digital preservation practitioners and researchers from around the globe.

These are challenging and uncertain times. The iPRES 2025 Team has aimed to keep registration rates as low as possible to encourage attendance – both in person and virtually from around the world. They recognise the importance of coming together as a community to connect with each other.

And for remote participants, the hybrid and virtual offerings will be available asynchronously so you can watch and engage at a time that is convenient for you!

iPRES is an international community of digital preservation researchers and practitioners. A key element of iPRES conferences is their inclusiveness. Experts from all parts of the world contribute to shaping the conference to ensure that it meets the needs of both seasoned and new digital preservation practitioners, and that the programme embraces new perspectives. Since its inception in 2004, iPRES conferences have been held across four continents. However, this will be the first-ever iPRES in Aotearoa New Zealand, and only the second time it has been hosted in the South Pacific.

The iPRES 2025 Local Organising Committee invites you to Haerenga (Journey), Tūtaki (Encounter), and Tūhono (Connect) this November.
