With three weeks to go until the Digital Preservation Awards 2026, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to recognize the hosts and partners whose leadership, generosity and commitment have made Warsaw an exceptional setting for the 2026 celebration.
The Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 15 October at Filmoteka Narodowa – Instytut Audiowizualny (FINA), whose enthusiasm and generous support have helped make this year’s celebration possible. It forms part of the No Time to Wait 10 conference, organized by FINA and MediaArea from 14–16 October. The celebration is held under the Honorary Patronage of Krzysztof Gawkowski, Minister of Digital Affairs.

We extend our sincere thanks to Filmoteka Narodowa – Instytut Audiowizualny (FINA) for hosting both NTTW10 and the Digital Preservation Awards ceremony.
As Poland's National Film Archive and Audiovisual Institute, FINA is responsible for preserving, restoring, digitizing, and promoting the nation's audiovisual heritage. Through major digitization and access initiatives, including the European-funded Immersed in Culture project, FINA is enhancing the accessibility, security, and reuse of audiovisual and multimedia collections, ensuring they remain available to audiences and researchers for generations to come. This combination of preservation expertise, digital innovation and commitment to public access makes FINA an excellent host for the Digital Preservation Awards. Its work exemplifies the values of stewardship, collaboration, and long-term access that the Awards seek to celebrate.

No Time to Wait Conference
We are also grateful to the organizers of NTTW10 for welcoming the Digital Preservation Awards into their programme. Over the past decade, No Time to Wait has become one of the most significant international conferences for digital audiovisual preservation, bringing together archivists, developers and preservation specialists to share knowledge, foster collaboration and advance open approaches to digital preservation. Its focus on community, innovation and practical problem-solving makes it a natural partner for the Awards.
Dave Rice, Archivist and NTTW Conference Manager, explained: "The desire to share knowledge openly and to collaborate, within and across communities, is both a strength and a necessity for the field of digital preservation. Honorary Patronage
We would also like to express our appreciation to the Polish Ministry for Digital Affairs for its support of the event, which is held under the Honorary Patronage of Krzysztof Gawkowski, Minister of Digital Affairs. The Ministry leads Poland's national digital transformation agenda and works to strengthen digital capability, cybersecurity, digital services and long-term digital resilience. By supporting the Digital Preservation Awards, the Ministry demonstrates the growing recognition that digital preservation is a vital component of national digital infrastructure and cultural continuity.
The Digital Preservation Awards have always celebrated more than individual achievement - they highlight and demonstrate the power of collaboration across sectors, disciplines and borders.
