About iPRES 2021

The International Conference on Digital Preservation (iPRES) is the premier conference series on digital preservation. Since 2004 there have been annual iPRES conferences around the globe for the international digital preservation community to share their recent research, development projects, implementation efforts, and other practical experiences, and to enhance collaborations within the field and across the related domains.

With the support of the whole community, this year’s 17th International Conference on Digital Preservation (iPRES2021) will be held at the National Science Library, on October 19-22, 2021, in Beijing, China, and will be organized in a hybrid mode where participants may join the conference through the Zoom or on-site.

The main theme of iPRES2021 is ‘Empowering Digital Preservation for the Enriched Digital Ecosystem’ with the following subthemes:

  • Exploring the New Horizons;
  • Scanning the New Development;
  • Enhancing the Collaboration;
  • Building the Capacity;
  • COVID-19 and Digital Preservation.

A Draft Programme is available here, and details of IPRES2021 may be found on the conference website at http://ipres2021.ac.cn/.
