The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce that the winners of the Digital Preservation Awards 2026 will be revealed during an exciting ceremony at the No Time To Wait 10 (NTTW 10) conference in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday 15 October 2026.

Organized by the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) every two years, the prestigious Digital Preservation Awards is the most prominent celebration of achievement for those people and organizations who have made significant contributions towards a sustainable future for our digital assets and showcase inspiring work from around the world.

The International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) is pleased to announce the extension of submission deadlines for Papers and Lightning Talks at IDCC27. You now have until 24 July 2026 to submit your proposals.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has today launched the second publication in its three-part Technology Watch Guidance Note series on Cyber Security and Resilience for Digital Preservation. Available initially as an exclusive preview for DPC Members, the series will be released publicly on 31 August 2026.

Building on the foundations laid in the first Guidance Note, this new publication Part 2: Engage Stakeholders explores how digital preservation practitioners can work effectively with colleagues across their organizations to strengthen cyber resilience. Written by Heather Lowrie, Director of Resilionix, and Garth Stewart, Head of Good Practice at the DPC, the publication demonstrates how digital preservation can complement wider cyber security programmes while offering practical approaches to engaging stakeholders and building organizational support.

National Museums Scotland, National Library of Scotland, National Videogame Museum and Ukie (The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment) are co-hosting a free conference in Edinburgh on Wednesday 16 September to develop a roadmap for collecting video game culture across the UK.
