The Digital Repository of Ireland invites you to attend two new webinars this May:


Event title: NORF Open Research in Ireland webinar: Open Access

As part of a webinar series on Open Research in Ireland, the National Open Research Forum (NORF)  is presenting a webinar focused on Open Access to research publications. This webinar will discuss national strategies for Open Access in Ireland, France and Denmark, and examples of good practice for supporting bibliodiversity and national-level monitoring. The webinar is targeted at the national research community in Ireland: researchers, research support staff, librarians, and funder representatives.

Speakers will include the chairs of NORF’s Working Group on Open Access (Susan Reilly, UCD & Niamh Brennan, TCD), Marin Dacos (Open Science Advisor, French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation), Hanne-Louise Kirkegaard (Senior Advisor, Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science) and Karen Hytteballe Ibanez (Senior Officer, Technical University Denmark). The event will be chaired by Dr Daniel Bangert, National Open Research Coordinator at the Digital Repository of Ireland.

Event title: RDA4EOSC Webinar – Supporting the alignment of organisational research data management policies

This webinar organised as part of the RDA4EOSC activities aimed at supporting organisational engagement with European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and similar initiatives. It will focus on discussing issues related to the alignment of organisational research data management (RDM) policies both internally and externally. 

Speakers include Patricia Clarke, Programme Manager for EU Programmes and Policy at the Health Research Board Ireland and National Delegate for the Horizon Europe Health Cluster, and Joy Davidson, Coordinator for the UK's Digital Curation Centre (DCC). The event will be chaired by Timea Biro from the Digital Repository of Ireland.
