The DPC is pleased to announce two Career Development Fund grants for Members to attend the hybrid 2022 Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) Here We Are Conference, 17 - 20 October 2022. Applications are welcomed from DPC members until the grant application deadline of 7:00 UTC on 26th July 2022.

About the ASA 2022 Conference: Here We Are

The past few years have been times of challenge, change and a sense of turmoil. The Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) encourages you to join them in Canberra for the 2022 ASA Here We Are Conference (#HereWeAre), to take the time and space to reflect on Where We Are:

  • Practice and Identity: Here we are in our profession—rather than always looking to the future, where are we situated now, today? What is our standpoint? Who are we and where do we work? What have we achieved? In this theme we want to hear from you about practice, education and identity, for example, what is an archivist now? What is a record now?
  • Collaboration and Advocacy: Here we are! Bringing attention to ourselves, advocating for our profession(s)—telling people we are here. Here we are in relation to others—what is our relationship to place, to Country, to Canberra and the like.
  • Developing Practices: Where we aren’t—thinking about spaces we might want to move into; areas we do not currently occupy; conversations we do not currently participate in; relationships we can build.

The conference will be held on 17-20 October 2022 and will be a hybrid event offering in-person and virtual attendance options. Onsite conference events will be held at the Hotel Realm in Canberra, Australia, on the traditional land of the Ngunnawal people. The virtual elements of the conference will be delivered through the EventsAir platform. For more information, please visit the ASA 2022 Here We Are conference page here.
