The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce the Iowa State University Library has joined as its newest Associate Member. ISU Library Center Red

As an R1, land‑grant university research library in the USA, the Iowa State University Library prioritizes digital preservation. The library strives to ensure digital preservation activities are accessible and manageable for staff who may not be highly technical specialists, enabling broader participation in the stewardship of Iowa State’s digital assets. Preservationists at Iowa State University created a digital preservation roadmap in partnership with AVP in 2019.

Lisa Muccigrosso, interim head of preservation at the Iowa State University Library, said membership in DPC is a good investment. “We are looking forward to becoming active members in the DPC community and contributing to strong foundations, sharing knowledge and developing further good practice around digital preservation,” Muccigrosso said.

Anna Perricci, Head of DPC Americas, welcomed the new member:

“We are very pleased to welcome the Iowa State University Library to the DPC. Their growing digital collections, commitment to research excellence and leadership in the academic community will bring valuable experience to the Coalition. We look forward to collaborating with them as the DPC continues to expand its presence and partnerships across this region.”

The DPC is an international charitable foundation that supports digital preservation, helping members around the world deliver resilient, long‑term access to digital content and services. It does this through community engagement, advocacy, training and workforce development, capacity building, good practice and standards, and effective governance. Its vision is a secure digital legacy.
