The Pina Bausch Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Wuppertal, Germany. The mission of the Foundation is to preserve the artistic legacy of Pina Bausch, keep her work alive, and carry it into the future. The Foundation is developing Pina Bausch’s artistic legacy in a digital archive. The objects and other metadata are managed in a specially developed database. The contents of the archive are made available to the widest possible public via the Foundation's website and in artistic projects such as exhibitions, new productions of Pina Bausch's pieces, publications and other educational programmes.

The continually-expanding archive currently holds about 10,000 video recordings from rehearsals and performances of Pina Bausch’s pieces across four decades, a photograph collection with about 300,000 items, show bibles, notes, and documents related to the development of the pieces, posters and programmes from around the world, a press archive, Pina Bausch’s private library, and other materials.

The Foundation is looking for a new colleague to support its team to start as soon as possible as Digital Archivist.

Tasks include systematic further development and maintenance of the archival structure of the holdings as well as modelling data in a linked data environment. In addition, there is the development and monitoring of processes in the archive, in particular for the ongoing public accessibility of the digital archives and quality management. The job holder will work closely with IT developers to further develop the data structure and user interface.

The position is preferably full-time; part time is possible (minimum 75 %). The contract initially has a fixed term until mid of 2027 with the aim to be extended. Remuneration is based upon TV-L. Place of work is the Foundation office in Wuppertal, Germany.
