About the iPRES 2025 Conference

iPRES is the premier international conference series on digital preservation. The conference brings together experts, practitioners, researchers, and policy makers in the field of digital preservation to share their knowledge, experiences, and innovations. It is a unique platform for the global digital preservation community to present research and innovative projects, share practical experience and best practices, discuss emerging trends and challenges and collaborate on future directions and solutions.

This year, iPRES 2025, is being co-hosted by Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand (NLNZ) and Te Rua Mahara o Kāwanatanga Archives New Zealand (ANZ). The themes for iPRES 2025 are Haerenga (Journey), Tūtaki (Encounter), and Tūhono (Connect). These themes encourage reflections on the evolving practices, innovations and partnerships shaping the future of digital preservation. Each theme reinforces the others, creating a holistic view of how digital preservation research and practice can adapt, innovate and thrive.

The conference will be held from 3 -7 November 2025 and will be a hybrid event offering in-person and virtual attendance options. For more information, please visit the iPRES 2025 conference website at https://www.ipres2025.nz/.
