Each announcement will highlight the work of the shortlisted finalists and their contributions to securing our digital legacy for current and future generations.

The Digital Preservation Awards 2026 shortlist includes 21 finalists across seven award categories. Finalists for the Most Distinguished Student Work in Digital Preservation Award will be announced separately, reflecting the distinct assessment process for that category.

Member voting opens on 16 June 2026, giving DPC Members the opportunity to help determine the winners in each category. DPC Members will also have the opportunity to submit recommendations for the DPC Fellow Award, which recognizes distinguished and sustained contributions to the field of digital preservation.

The winners will be announced at the Digital Preservation Awards presentation ceremony on Thursday 15 October 2026, bringing together finalists and supporters from across the international digital preservation community.

The DPC congratulates everyone who submitted nominations this year and looks forward to celebrating the finalists and the outstanding work they represent.
