New faces for 2026–2027: DPC Board and Sub-committees updated

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce a number of updates to its Board of Directors and Sub-committees. As a member-owned and member-led organisation, the DPC relies on the expertise, commitment, and leadership of its community and these annual changes help ensure that members remain at the heart of shaping the Coalition's future and overseeing its work.

In particular, we would like to thank Paul Stokes of Jisc, who concludes his term as a DPC Director on the Board, and as Chair of the Advocacy and Community Engagement Sub-committee. Paul stepped down from the Board in May 2026 after many years of valued service.

Welcoming new members of the Board and Sub-committees

The DPC is pleased to welcome a new cohort of members to its governance structure for 2026–2027. These appointments reflect the breadth and diversity of the Coalition's international community and will help ensure that members continue to play an active role in guiding the DPC's strategic direction and activities.

Executive Board

The Board welcomes Elizabeth Newbold (UKRI) as a newly appointed Director. Elizabeth Newbold succeeds Paul Stokes (Jisc) on the Board. A full list of Executive Board members is available on the DPC website.

Sub-committees

Following the call to refresh Sub-committee membership earlier this year, we are delighted to introduce our new line-up across the DPC's six Sub-committees.
