The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce that Adam Bell will be joining the team on a temporary basis in Australia, providing support for the DPC’s activities across the Australasia region alongside Robin Wright.
Adam brings extensive experience from across the galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM) sector, together with a strong background in technology, digital research infrastructure, and community engagement.
Many in the DPC community will already know Adam through his work at AARNET supporting collaboration and innovation across the Australian GLAM sector. His experience spans digital projects, cultural heritage, web technologies, research services, and community-building initiatives, making him ideally placed to support members and stakeholders across the region.
Speaking about the appointment, Adam said:
"I'm very excited to be joining the DPC team and supporting its work across Australasia. The DPC has built an exceptional global community around digital preservation, and I look forward to contributing to that work while helping strengthen connections and support for members throughout the region."
DPC members and colleagues in Australasia will have opportunities to meet Adam over the coming months as he works alongside Robin to support member engagement and events like the DPC Members Forum in Melbourne, as well as community activities across the region.
