El Archivo Nacional de Chile, the National Archives of Chile, has joined the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) this month, becoming its newest Associate Member.

Responsible for the permanent preservation of records generated by over 1900 public institutions in Chile, the Archives must provide long-term digital preservation services.

A government agency has joined the Digital Preservation Coalition on 4th February 2022.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome CLOCKSS, as they become the newest Full Member of the Coalition.

A collaboration between leading research libraries and academic publishers around the globe, CLOCKSS is a digital preservation archive for scholarly content. It focuses on content licensed or published by research libraries, and is currently entrusted to preserve more than 46 million journal articles and 260,000 books. These are held in twelve secure repositories distributed around the world at major academic institutions.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Sound and Vision) as the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.

Established in 1997, Sound and Vision manages one of the largest digitalized media archives in the world packed with (among others) radio and television recordings, YouTube and TikTok videos, podcasts and games. 

The Houses of the Oireachtas (the National Parliament of Ireland) has joined the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) this month, becoming the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.

The Oireachtas Library has been serving parliamentarians since 1924 by delivering library and information services that support the work of both Houses of the Oireachtas, Committees and individual Members. The Archive is currently being established to centralise and safeguard the records and archives of the Oireachtas.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the J. Paul Getty Trust, as they become the newest Associate Member of the Coalition.

A multifaceted cultural heritage organization consisting of the Getty Conservation Institute, Getty Foundation, Getty Museum, and Getty Research Institute, the J. Paul Getty Trust (Getty) is dedicated to the presentation, conservation, and interpretation of the world's artistic legacy.

With an active program of digital preservation activities in place for over a decade, a Trust-wide position was created in 2018 to specifically address digital preservation issues across the institution.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome Queensland State Archives (QSA) as the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.

As the lead agency for public recordkeeping in Queensland, Australia and custodian of the largest and most significant documentary heritage collection about Queensland, QSA holds permanent records of enduring historical value for the Queensland Government and local governments and is responsible for the management, preservation and access of the permanent records in its custody.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the University of Calgary, as they become the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.

Bringing together over 300 terabytes of digital material from libraries, institutional and research archives, special collections, art galleries and a university press, the University of Calgary’s Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR) is undertaking efforts to bolster the institution’s digital preservation capacities; safeguarding the authenticity, usability and accessibility of its rich digital assets.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) as the Coalition’s newest Associate Member.

Established in 1984, the NFSA is Australia’s living archive with a mission to collect, preserve and share Australia’s audiovisual heritage. As custodians of over 3.3 million items, of which approximately half are digital, digital preservation is a core element of the organization’s mission to preserve and share its collection.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to welcome the National Library Board, Singapore (NLB) as the Coalition’s newest Full Member.

NLB is the official custodian of Singapore's published and documentary heritage, archival materials of national and historical significance in Singapore, government records and broadcast archives.

As part of its Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025, NLB aims to build on its role as an enduring source of knowledge on Singapore and its place in the world. To this end, NLB is committed to an ongoing programme to collect, preserve, and make accessible digital content on Singapore, and aspires to become a Trusted Digital Repository and an authority on digital preservation for the nation.
