As the Digital Preservation Lead you will help build the digital archival collection, ensuring that the State’s permanent-value born-digital records are, ingested, managed and preserved for future generations. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including Queensland Government public authorities.
In this role you will:

Build and maintain positive relationships with Queensland public authorities, including encouraging, facilitating and supporting the transfer of born-digital records from public authorities to QSA

Provide advice, guidance and support to Queensland public authorities on embedding digital preservation into recordkeeping practices

Develop and maintain expertise in QSA's digital preservation system and other preservation tools including providing advanced support to teams using the system

Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on preservation formats, metadata, digital transfers, digital records management, and imaging best practices for a variety of file formats and carrier types

Oversee, develop and execute digital preservation workflows that meet collection, access and user needs

Undertake digital preservation activities and monitor the health of the digital collection

Research, analyse and prepare written documentation on various topics associated with digital preservation and digital recordkeeping

Contribute to project work and collaborate effectively across QSA teams

Supervise and support officers in a team and/or project
