In the past six months alone, Preservica has grown its user base by nearly 400%. In addition, Preservica is soon to launch a new solution that makes digital preservation easily accessible and useable by all Microsoft SharePoint365 customers. It’s this new growth that‘s driving the need for this new role.

Your role

You will be part of an energetic team of digital preservation professionals who are committed to educating customers and providing superior value to users of our software. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of people and learn about digital preservation techniques from world leading experts.

You should be familiar with the ways in which innovative B2B SaaS software companies (e.g. Dropbox, Slack, Calendly) use freemium versions of their software to generate prospect engagement. What you need to be successful in this role

This is a key role in our cross-functional product-led team, combining market and product knowledge to help our users achieve their objectives. You will be doing this in a variety of ways, becoming a trusted advisor and go-to-person for our users while contributing to the sales revenue by advising our users on suitable solutions to address their needs in a consultative manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate users on the nuances and value of our products

• Segment our user base, identifying Product Qualified Leads (PQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) with the help of data, and engage with users to get them to adopt and advocate our products

• Develop processes for handovers of leads to your sales colleagues by briefing and arranging appointments with the Direct Sales team for enterprise opportunities

• Model use cases in which Preservica can drive business transformations across various industries

• Build strong relationships with sales teams and customers, and work collaboratively with Marketing, Customer Service and Product to improve user onboarding

• Proactively engage users in consultation calls, support them with inquiries, and guide them to the right resources, so they can learn more about our products

• Guide users in their choices when ready to upgrade by advising them on their options and clearly pointing out the value propositions of our different solutions

• Proactively use CRM (Salesforce.com) to track Sales business & activity

• Use social channels, such as LinkedIn for networking and research

Requirements & Previous Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Previous experience in a customer facing commercial role or a related sales position

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com

• Familiarity with Product Led Growth (PLG) and software like Pendo, Calixa, Appcues

• Experience demonstrating products to across industries & personas

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Exceptional customer service skills

Location & Reporting

This role can either be based from our Boston offices or remotely from a US base. The candidate will be an integral part of the Starter marketing & product teams, with a direct reporting line to the VP Sales, North America.
