The Digital Preservation Coalition is looking for volunteers who are willing and able to share their digital preservation workflows in a 20-minute online demonstration or presentation as part of our 'Workflow Webinars' series, which is planned to take place in February 2024.

The UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has won the NDSA Excellence Award for its project Reliable, Robust and Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Nuclear Decommissioning at the NDSA’s Digital Preservation 2023 conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

Established by the NDSA in 2012, the annual awards presentation celebrates innovation in the field of digital stewardship. This year, the 2023 NDSA Excellence Project Award recognizes activities whose goals or outcomes make a significant contribution to strategic or conceptual understanding necessary for successful digital preservation stewardship.

Amy Ibbotson is Collection Management Archivist (Digital), Digital Archive Team, at Queensland State Archives. She attended the NEDCC Digital Directions 2023 Conference with support from the DPC Career Development Fund, which is funded by DPC Supporters.

Thanks to the DPC Career Development Fund I was able to attend the NEDCC online Digital Directions Conference. While the conference was not time-zone friendly for those of us residing ‘Down Under’ (2am wake up thank you very much!), the early starts soon proved to be worth the effort.
