Email represents one of the most significant and challenging forms of digital heritage, containing rich historical records often alongside sensitive personal information. This webinar introduces ePADD, an open-source software tool designed to help archivists and digital preservation professionals process, appraise, and provide access to email archives at scale. Learn how ePADD addresses the unique complexities of email archives, from identifying and protecting sensitive information through lexicons and labeling systems, to enabling powerful search and browsing capabilities that make email collections manageable. Members of the ePADD Steering Group will share recent developments with the software, experiments in applying AI tools to email processing, and discuss project sustainability and how users can get involved with the project.

DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy

The DPC Community is guided by the values set out in our Strategic Plan and aims to be respectful, welcoming, inclusive and transparent - the same applies to #DPConnect sessions. We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community and/or attending a #DPConnect session to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.
