The DPC Web Archiving Special Interest Group (WA-SIG), brings together DPC Members to discuss issues and challenges relating to the preservation of websites and social media.
In our next meeting, we will focus on a topic which was highlighted as a key priority in our recent Member survey: quality assurance of web archiving. Tom Smyth, Manager of the Web and Social Media Preservation Program at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) will give us a whistle-stop tour of LAC’s curation methodology and their framework and workflows for quality control in web archiving, followed by Q&A.
Following Tom’s presentation, there will also be time for open discussion. If you have a burning question on anything to do with web archives, would like to share some of your recent work, or are seeking opportunities for further collaboration, please do come along.
A recording of this presentation will be made available to DPC Members.
If you have any questions or suggested topics for future meetings of WA-SIG, please email garth.stewart@dpconline.org
Registration is for DPC members only. DPC members, please log in to register.
