The DPC Web Archiving Special Interest Group (WA-SIG), brings together DPC Members to discuss issues and challenges relating to the preservation of websites and social media.
After a brief pause, WA-SIG returned to DPC’s programming in July. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 7 October 2026, at 05:00 UTC, at a time intended to be convenient to our Australasian and Asia Pacific Members. (check for your local time).
The existing Terms of Reference for WA-SIG (formerly WAPSIG) are here, though these may be subject to change. WA-SIG also has a Steering Committee, whose terms of reference are here.
A mini-survey of what DPC Members would like from WA-SIG has been undertaken, and the results of this will be presented on 7 October along with future plans based on this feedback. Attendees will be welcome to share their thoughts on our plans, and/or suggest topics or matters of interest which we as a SIG could build into our programme of activities.
A recording of this presentation will be made available to DPC Members.
If you have any questions or suggested topics for future meetings of WA-SIG, please email garth.stewart@dpconline.org
Registration is for DPC members only. DPC members, please log in to register.
The DPC Community is guided by the values set out in our Strategic Plan and aims to be respectful, welcoming, inclusive and transparent. We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community and/or attending an event to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.
