Members and non-members are invited to join Karyn Williamson, Digital Preservation Specialist at the DPC and Robin Wright, Head Australasia & Asia-Pacific at this online session to introduce the DPC’s Community Archives Digital Preservation Toolkit and explain plans for a Global Ambassador pilot project in our region in 2026.

The DPC is looking for individuals, companies or organizations from Australasia & Asia-Pacific to become Global Ambassadors for the Community Archives Digital Preservation Toolkit (‘the toolkit’) in our region. The DPC will provide training & support to adapt the toolkit for local use and will work with Ambassadors to develop, promote and distribute appropriate local versions of the toolkit to their communities.

This session will explain plans for the Global Ambassador pilot project and the benefits and commitment required from participants. It will also outline the long-term ongoing connection available for participants and the DPC’s global plans for the toolkit in the future.

Participation is open to anyone with an interest in the Community Archives Digital Preservation Toolkit but we particularly welcome those with an interest in participating in the further development of the toolkit in our region. For more information about the pilot project, please email Karyn Williamson at karyn.williamson@dpconline.org

DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy

The DPC Community is guided by the values set out in our Strategic Plan and aims to be respectful, welcoming, inclusive and transparent - the same applies to #DPConnect sessions. We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community and/or attending a #DPConnect session to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.
