Happy New Year! #DPConnect returns on Thursday 8th January as a 30-minute session to catch up on all your holiday news, and digital preservation plans for 2026.

Click here to check your local time.

You can join #DPConnect regularly at 1400 UTC on the second Thursday of each month as a online space to drop in and discuss all things digital preservation.

The gatherings remain short and informal, 30 minutes max, they have no agenda and no themes – just come and talk about what you are working on, share work problems and challenges - or just say hello!

We'll use the hashtag #dpconnect when we discuss it on social media.

Who can use #DPConnect?

#DPConnect is open to everyone in the digital preservation community, DPC Members and non-members alike, provided all participants are respectful and supportive of one another and adhere to the DPC's Inclusion and Diversity Policy (see more below).

How to #DPConnect?

  • #DPConnect will use the DPC's online Zoom facility.

  • Connect by phone or web.

  • Request the joining information by clicking the link below.

  • Re-usable meeting links: the same meeting ID or URL will apply each month. Please register separately for #DPClinic events.

  • Each session will be captained by a DPC Staff Member or Guest Host.

  • If this session happens outside your time zone, why not check out #DPConnect Aus on the third Friday of each month at 13:00 Australian Eastern time (except in January 2026 where we'll skip a session and return in February) or #DPConnect Americas on the first Thursday of each month at 14:00 Eastern Time (except in January 2026 where it will take place on Thursday 8th January).

If you are a DPC Member and are interested in hosting #DPConnect, please contact angela.puggioni@dpconline.org.

DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy

The DPC Community is guided by the values set out in our Strategic Plan and aims to be respectful, welcoming, inclusive and transparent - the same applies to #DPConnect sessions. We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community and/or attending a #DPConnect session to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.

Zoom may now require you to have a personal account in order to join a meeting. Therefore please could you register for an account in advance of #DPConnect, if you do not have one already. The sign up link is here: https://zoom.us/signup
