Databases are complex digital objects that can be challenging to preserve. This topic was raised recently on the DPC-DISCUSSION mailing list and there was lots of interest in convening a meeting to discuss and share experiences as a community. We clearly can't find answers to all of your database preservation questions in one hour, but this is an opportunity to network and make useful connections. The meeting will end with an opportunity to share ideas around next steps for the this community - Is this a topic you want to continue to explore through continuing DPC activities over the next year? What would that look like? This session will not be recorded, but we hope to be able to share a summary of the discussions via the DPC blog.

DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy

The DPC Community is guided by the values set out in our Strategic Plan and aims to be respectful, welcoming, inclusive and transparent. We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.
