#DPClinic Aus - Database Preservation

#DPClinic Aus is an informal online space to discuss a popular digital preservation topic.
The topic for the session will be database preservation and our speaker will be Peter Francis, Manager, Standards and Policy at PROV. Peter will talk about using the SIARD (Software Independent Archiving of Relational Databases) tools to convert and store database content.
Peter will provide a case study example of how PROV used the SIARD tools to preserve an Ingres database being decommissioned by a Victorian Government agency and installed an open-source practice environment to help agencies use the tools and understand how they work.
Participants are invited to bring questions, queries and challenges on the relevant topic, as well as stories of what has worked well for them; or alternatively just listen in to the discussion.
