Audio Visual Working Group

This online members-only event will be held on the 31st of January from 3:00pm - 4:00pm UTC (click for local time).

The Audiovisual Working Group (AVWG) brings together DPC Members in order to discuss issues and challenges relating to the preservation of digital content that is either audio, video, or both. The AVWG provides an opportunity to share experiences, discuss good practice, and identify and address common problems. It aims to complement, not duplicate, the activities of any pre-existing groups, meetings, or activities that address the long-term preservation of AV content. Priority is given to discussions of real-world experiences and examples of proven good practice.

This first meeting of the AVWG in 2024 will be an opportunity to help shape the programme and content of future meetings for the coming year. If you have any thoughts on topics we should discuss, suggestions for future presentations, or a question you’d like to put to the group, this will be your opportunity. If you cannot make this planning meeting but want to make a suggestion or comment about the AVWG, please email: michael.popham@dpconline.org
