For this month’s DPClinic we will be celebrating the public launch of our revised Technology Watch Report on ‘Preserving Geospatial Data’. The second edition of this report, written by Meagan A. Snow and published last year, built on, and updated the original 2009 publication by Guy McGarva, Steve Morris and Greg Janée and reflects the changing landscape of geospatial data and its preservation. Meagan Snow, who works as Geospatial Data Visualization Librarian at the Geography & Map Division of the Library of Congress will share some insights on this topic in a short presentation. Following this, there will be plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.

Attendees are encouraged to share their own experiences and questions around geospatial data preservation in this chatty and informal clinic.

We encourage diversity in all its forms and are committed to being accessible to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation, whilst remaining technology and vendor neutral. We ask all those who are part of this community and/or attending a #DPConnect session to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with our DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy.
