Join Roxanne Missingham and Alicia Wise as they explore CLOCKSS - a global preservation network with secure nodes around the world, including one now hosted at Australian National University (ANU). Roxanne will share why ANU joined the CLOCKSS network and what it means for regional and global preservation. Alicia will explain how geographic and institutional diversity is key to protecting content from local failures, vendor instability, and digital obsolescence.

The iPRES 2025 organizing team is now accepting submissions for the Great Digital Preservation Bake Off at the International Conference on Digital Preservation taking place later this year in Wellington!

The Digital Preservation Bake-Off provides a platform for developers and practitioners to showcase their digital preservation solutions in a live, interactive setting. No actual baking is required; however, kitchen metaphors and puns are encouraged! The Bake Off offers a playful yet insightful look into the future of digital preservation, making it a fun and educational experience for all.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is delighted to announce two key appointments to its staff. Dorothy Waugh will take on the role of Head of Workforce Development, while Garth Stewart joins as Head of Good Practice, each bringing a wealth of expertise to these roles.

The iPRES 2025 Programme Committee is pleased to announce that the Call for the iPRES 2025 Ad Hoc Programme is now open. 

Lightning talks, digital preservation games, Birds of a Feather (BoF) discussion sessions  – once again iPRES offers exciting submission categories beyond the traditional paper, panel, poster, workshop, and tutorial submissions. They offer a flexible and informal way to share your ideas, projects, and insights with the iPRES community without the need to submit a full paper.

Taking place in Victoria, British Columbia on 15th and 16th September 2025 and featuring a speaker session with Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) President Richard Ovenden, this event is a public launch of the University of Victoria Libraries' new Kula: Library Futures Academy, the world’s first library-based institute of advanced studies.
