Taking place in Victoria, British Columbia on 15th and 16th September 2025 and featuring a speaker session with Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) President Richard Ovenden, this event is a public launch of the University of Victoria Libraries' new Kula: Library Futures Academy, the world’s first library-based institute of advanced studies.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is pleased to offer a limited number of Career Development Fund grants to support DPC Members attending the hybrid iPRES 2025 Conference, 3 to 7 November, at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), Aotearoa (New Zealand).

This Career Development Fund grant will cover 100% of conference registration fees and provide a contribution towards travel and accommodation if attending in person. Grant applications are welcomed from DPC Members until 07:00 UTC | 19:00 NZST on 1 July 2025, and more details are provided below.

DPC Rapid Assessment Model 3.0 Expands Global Reach with New Language Translations

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) announces the release of Dutch, Portuguese, and Spanish translations of its Rapid Assessment Model (RAM). These additions complement the existing translations in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, and Turkish, expanding the model's accessibility to preservation practitioners worldwide. 

Members of the Digital Preservation Community are invited to attend a Digital Preservation Games Event online on the 19th of June from 6-8pm BST. It is completely free and open to all who wish to learn about digital preservation.
