The Scottish Government is currently seeking applications for a Local Authority Digital Records Liaison Officer within The Digital Records Unit based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This new post will work with local authorities in Scotland to support their digital records keeping activities, with a particular focus on digital preservation. Excellent communication and engagement skills required along with a strong interest in this area.

Qualifications Required

For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

  1. A demonstrable ability to collate and to critically appraise information from diverse sources.
