A series of Roadshows organised by the Society of Archives and sponsored by Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), The National Archives (TNA) and CyMAL are being held across the UK and Ireland in 2009-2010 to raise awareness of digital preservation tools and techniques.

  • Gloucester, 29th April 2009
  • York, 26th June 2009
  • London,  19th August 2009
  • Edinburgh, 28th October 2009
  • Dublin, 26th November 2009
  • Manchester, 10th December 2009
  • Aberystwyth, 22nd January 2010
  • Cardiff, 15th February 2010

These events have raised awareness of the issues associated with digital preservation and demonstrated that there are solutions that don’t involve spending large amounts of money, and have shown how to take the first, incremental steps in this field.

The delegate fee for non-members was £75 however free places were available for the Society of Archivists or the Digital Preservation Coalition members.
