The Hydra Project is pleased to announce two Hydra Europe events for 2015, taking place this coming April, at LSE Library, London.

Hydra offers a core repository solution which can be adapted to meet different needs, for example digital collection management, self deposit repositories, open access publication, research data management, and more.   Originally developed by the Hydra Project, it is open source software released under the Apache 2.0 licence. The Project now has 27 Partners internationally (and counting) and a wide range of users working together as a community to add to Hydra's capability.

Hydra Europe Symposium (23-24 April 2015)

A free, one- or two-day event for digital collection managers, collection owners and their software developers to learn about Hydra and how it can support a wide range of digital content management needs.  There will be two parallel strands, one aimed at “less technical” attendees and the other at “more technical" attendees.  For the less technical, the Thursday programme is aimed at giving an overview of the Project and what it means to adopt Hydra; the facility exists to book for the Thursday sessions only.  Friday’s sessions will dig deeper to explore topics of current relevance.
