We've re-designed the DPC’s website to make it simpler and easier to find the information you need to help you in your digital preservation activities and to connect you with DPC staff and members.

What’s new:

We have created a clean, modern and responsive site which makes content easier to find, read and digest, and will help connect members as we continue to grow as a membership.

Some of the new and improved features of the website are:

  • A simpler homepage provides quicker access to the information you are interested in. We’ll display the latest news items, job vacancies and events, as well as keeping you up to date on twitter and Instagram.
  • Menu items are more intuitive and easier to navigate.
  • A new Knowledge Base provides multiple ways to for you to search for information and guidance to help you in your digital preservation work; use tags, topics or the new Google Search to find the answers you’re looking for.
  • A new blog section will provide a platform for members, staff and guests to share their latest thinking on all things digital preservation. Registered users will be able to comment and interact with the blogger and each other, bringing our dispersed user network closer together.
  • The site’s Community Builder module will provide each member organisation with its own profile page. Visible to other registered users, this will gather together all content posted to the site by members of that organisation, enabling quick and easy knowledge exchange between institutions as well as the opportunity to make introductions and expand your network.

What happens next?

Take a look around!

DPC members are asked to re-register for the new site to access privileged content including early drafts of Technology Watch Reports, webinar recordings, as well as invitations to and outputs from member-only events.

The new Google Search will take a day or two to crawl the site and return accurate results. In the meantime you may find that search results are returned from the old site. Please bear with us while that happens.
