The University of Bath Library is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with proven communication skills and a passion for open science to join their Research Data Service.

The Research Data Librarian is responsible for delivering a comprehensive programme of guidance materials, workshops, and online training resources to support researchers throughout the University with their research data management needs. The post-holder will also use their experience and initiative to develop customised support for data management planning and will engage directly with the process of dataset publication.

You will join a dedicated, professional team of Library staff committed to the continual development of services to support the University’s strategy: to deliver world-class research and teaching, extend the University’s international influence, and enrich the student experience. The University understands the importance of continued professional development for all Library staff in order to achieve this, and provides programmes of local opportunities, and support involvement in appropriate external activities.

Transferable experience from open data sectors as well as direct experience of academic research from postgraduate level upwards will be considered. Previous applicants need not apply.
