We specifically:         Offer all-inclusive service: from scanning and photography that addresses the whole life cycle of digital objects (from digital capture to data management, access and long-term preservation);

Specialise in digitisation of small, high value collections where items are often unique, irreplaceable & of high cultural importance (e.g. manuscripts, posters, maps, 3D objects);

Partner with a trusted third party provider to undertake any bulk /larger scale components of the project; (and we will undertake strict quality assurance and closely manage the entire process),

UK Archiving

May I make you aware of my company -UK Archiving. We are a preservation imaging company that uses both microfilm, microfilm scanning and direct digital capture to preserve our customers important material.

We use high quality digital cameras not scanners to ensure the care of the material. The cameras we use are Phase One 39 megapixel units.

Some of our clients are: National Library of Scotland, The Glasgow School of Art, The Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh, The Royal Fusiliers in the Tower of London, All the Libraries in Scotland, The Everton Collection The University of Glasgow HEDS used our services from time to time.

Serco Artemis Digital Services

Artemis is delivered by prisoners working with digital files in a secure custodial environment.  Prisoners add metadata as required by the client.  We’ve worked with the British Library, The National Archives, British Film Institute, BBC, Staffordshire Record Office and others during the proof of concept, and now commercial work.

As well as providing a cost-effective transcription/metadata annotation service, Artemis makes a significant positive impact on prisoner skill development and digital literacy.  By providing prisoners with new skills we hope that Artemis will make an impact on rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.
