Our Work

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

The DPC operates on four levels:

  • activities undertaken individually by member institutions and sectors but accomplished and co-ordinated in line with their commitment to the principles and goals of the Coalition (and enabled by their participation in its activities);
  • a core set of Coalition activities of common interest and benefit to all its members supported by resources from its membership and sponsoring bodies;
  • a series of collaborative projects which are taken forward with project funding drawn from a variety of sources;
  • Through the Coalition, its members, and strategic alliances, promoting, developing, and implementing a national infrastructure of services and training for sustaining access to and preservation of, digital resources

The DPC operates on a three year planning framework and all our activities are focussed on providing benefits to our members.  We are currently operating under a Strategic Plan 2012-2015 approved by the whole membership at the AGM in Belfast in December 2011 and is a public document.  The Strategic Plan provides the basis for a Forward Work Plan, endorsed by the DPC Board in March 2012. The workplan is updated, presented and reviewed at every DPC Board Meeting.  The Forward Work Plan is an internal document for only available for members.

Our original programme of work and activities is also available from 2002 as this provides something of the rationale for the DPC at its foundation.
