How to find us: Multimap Online Map Google Online Maps
By Car Those arriving by private car should follow the signs to the University from the A64 and then make for Heslington. The University is signposted from the A19 and A1079 exits from the A64. Once at the Heslington village roundabout, visitors should proceed up the dual carriageway to a second roundabout and turn right. Continue for 200 metres and the Innovation Centre is on your left-hand side. We reccommend you use the google map (Linked above) to get a satellites-eye view of our location.
By Bus Buses 4 and 5 run from York railway station to the University, approximately every 15 minutes during the day; journey time approximately 20 minutes. Visitors should alight at the last stop of the journey, just past the second roundabout down University road. Walk back towards the university and at the roundabout (30 metres)turn right into the Science Park.
By Rail York is a major rail interchange, with direct trains from most cities, including a frequent, fast (under 2 hours) train service from London King's Cross Station. Details are available at National Rail Enquiries Online.
By Air Manchester Airport serves a good range of European and some intercontinental destinations, and there is a 2-hour direct train journey from the airport to York station. Leeds-Bradford Airport is the most convenient airport for York (55 minutes by car). The number of international destinations is fairly small but increasing rapidly, thanks to airlines such as Jet2.com. There is a half-hourly bus service to Leeds station, from which frequent trains are available to York. London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted) have excellent international air connections, with onward travel to York consisting of a 45-75-minute Underground (or train plus Underground) journey to London King's Cross station, followed by the 2-hour train journey from King's Cross to York.
